Discover the beauty of Colchester and its surroundings with the Colchester Land Trust! Join our vibrant community by attending our monthly (or more) hikes, outings, and engaging community events. Immerse yourself in nature while connecting with fellow residents.

Whether you're passionate about conservation, the environment, or simply having fun, our events cater to diverse interests and physical abilities.

As a CLT member, you can enjoy the majority of these experiences for free, while non-members only pay a nominal fee of $5 per adult. All children under 18 attend for free.  (Event details and fees may vary, so be sure to check out the specifics for each occasion.)

Our events are not just limited to Colchester and our properties —they extend to other Colchester places and neighboring towns, often in collaboration with local organizations, other land trusts, and various groups.

Colchester Land Trust Hike and Event Release and Waiver

I know that trail hiking and outdoor activities can be a potentially hazardous. I assume all risks associated with participating in the Colchester Land Trust outing including, but not limited to, the effects of weather, falls, traffic, and conditions of the trails and property traversed.


I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release, and discharge the Colchester Land Trust, Inc., their officers, directors, and members from any liability resulting from this event.


Further, I hereby grant full permission to use my (or my minor child's or legal dependent's) photographs, video, and any other record of this event for any purpose without compensation or remuneration.


  • A separate waiver must be completed for each individual attendee regardless of age.

  • Minors (under 18 years of age) or legal dependents must have a waiver completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.
